RIM makes some big announcements at BlackBerry Jam Asia

Overnight, while you were all tucked away in bed RIM held their first keynote at BlackBerry Jam Asia, currently happening in Bangkok, Thailand. Without wasting time, RIM went on to announce a plethora of newsworthy announcements; starting with BlackBerry AppWorld, to be renamed with the launch of BlackBerry 10 to simply “BlackBerry World”. Alec Saunders, RIM’s VP of Developer Relations, also revealed the new Dev Alpha C device – a BlackBerry 10 smartphone with a physical QWERTY keyboard, similar to the BlackBerry 9900. This BB10 is only for developers who are looking to test their BB10 apps; similar to the all-touch Dev Alpha A and Dev Alpha B, there’s a limited amount to go around.
Big news coming out of Asia today, with a lot more on deck!
