Rumour: Sprint to carry iPhone 5, retain unlimited data plan?
Here’s an interesting little tidbit around the iPhone 5, according to Bloomberg, Sprint may not only be carrying the device, but may be keeping their unlimited data plan around in order to keep a competitive edge over their competitors. New subscribers looking to grab one on Verizon or AT&T will need to deal with a selection of tiered data plans, and only grandfathered subscribers will be able to retain their unlimited data. This will lend a serious competitive edge to Sprint, being the only major carrier in the game to still offer an unlimited data plan.
Now, given that we don’t even have confirmation yet on an iPhone 5, this is just another rumour that has surfaced in this year’s hype, but at the least it isn’t a blurry reflected image on a sushi plate.
