For all you people who have switched from BlackBerry to Android and have been missing this mainstay app, you’ll be happy to know that Tether has launched for the Android OS!

Tether allows you to easily transfer your data connection from your Android to your laptop. The folks at Tether assure us that the app works for ALL ANDROID PHONES PRODUCED TO DATE (with OS 1.5 and above).

The folks over at Tether report they’ve been constantly getting 50% to 75% faster speeds than their competition. They have been kind enough to supply us with a video of their recent speed tests comparing Tether to two of its (unnamed) competitors. I will point out that they did cut and edit the video (it isn’t one continuous stream) so I will have to reserve judgement until I see someone else try it live in front of me or at least see an uncut video.
