Alright, I know what you are thinking “there must be a catch, right?”

Well, my friends you read it correctly, you can now drop some unauthorized Froyo love on your iPhone 2G/3G (no iOS4 support just yet) without a computer using a new Bootlace app in Cydia.

It won’t be the exact look and feel of Android 2.2 that you have grown to love (i.e. no Android Market or Google Apps), but the keys have been remapped so that the volume rocker, power button, and home button on the Apple hardware work in place of Android’s four buttons.

So, if you are comfortable with a bit of dirty work on your phone, try it out and let us know your findings. Please note though we hold NO responsibility for your own stupidity if something goes wrong, have fun
