The G1 was a popular toy in its time, but as with most devices these days, after a few months they just get out dated.

Say hello to its successor the G2, being released by T-Mobile on their brand spankin’ new HSPA+ 4G network, this device packs a pretty strong punch. Its out of box specs include:

• 3.7inch LCD touchscreen display
• 800 MHz Snapdragon processor
• HD video camera for recording crystal-clear, high-definition (720p) videos
• Android 2.2 Froyo
• 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and autofocus
• Pre-installed 8GB microSD memory card with support for up to 32 GB
• Built-in 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo headset and Bluetooth support
• And my new favorite way to text — Swype support.
