So what’s the deal with the white iPhone 4?
Aug 3rd
Other than the now annoying “Antennagate” saga, one of the most popular questions related to the recent iPhone 4 launch is “So when is the white version coming out?”. Apple won’t give a straight answer leaving many blogs and fan boys to speculate and create rumor.
Tuaw decided to do some digging and found an interesting discovery. Supposedly, the issue with the release has to do with the manufacturing of the devices parts, frankly, they weren’t done well, resulting in a ”rough & bent” condition. It appears that the top case is rendered less-than-perfect in manufacturing, and as a result doesn’t sit completely flush when the phone is assembled.
Supposedly the issue has been rectified and the device in mass production for release later this year.
If you just CAN’T wait, you can pick up the white housing for personal assembly here.

This Week In iPhone 7.18-7.24
Jul 25th
All in all, a fairly quiet week for Apple news. Apple’s case program goes live, those wanting an iPhone 4 in white will likely never get it (cause they’ll buckle and get the black one first!) and Apple throws a new phone or two into their antenna page deal. This of course made other manufactures pretty heated, but Apple doesn’t seem to care very much.
As usual, the links are available after the break.

Apple adds the Motorola Droid X to their list of antenna attenuations
I told’ya it wasn’t a very big week!
Sales, Bills, and Challenges - Oh My!
Jun 23rd
Apple issued a statement today saying that the white iPhone 4 is more “challenging” to produce than expected. I have no idea what exactly that means, but it spells anguish for myself. White is the only way to go, and therefore, I shall be waiting.
Second, BillShrink (an independent company that finds ways to reduce bills for a variety of services) compared the new iPhone 4 with other top of the line phones. Using various stats and metrics (like price, monthly cost, and phone features), they have decided that the iPhone 4 is the best value. They, of course, factor in AT&T’s new (cheaper) data plans, which help drive the decision. Read their report here.
Finally, to commemorate the launch of iPhone 4, EA Games has made a huge selection of their popular (and expensive!) games, just 99¢. I personally picked up Command & Conquer and will be excited to play that one soon (I’ve got a few others to beat first!). A few of the games are absolute steals, being up to six bucks less! Those that frequent the App Store may have noticed that these games have taken over the Top 25 list. The entire selection will be available after the read more jump.
