Hands-On Video Of The BlackBerry 9670 Running BlackBerry 6
May 8th
YouTube link for Mobile viewing
We’ve got a nice little exclusive for you, today. A tipster has sent our way some juicy video showcasing the latest build of BlackBerry 6 running on the Bold 9670.
From the first leaked shot till now, the 9670 has increasingly become a point of contention amongst BlackBerry users: what is its purpose? What phone is it meant to replace? Why, oh why, did RIM choose this awkward form factor to further its gains into the mainstream smartphone market? Because, as you can see, the BlackBerry 9670 isn’t nearly as ugly as we once thought it to be. In fact, it seems kind of…cute.
But, more importantly, this is the first live look of BlackBerry 6 running on a non-touch device. While it looks incredibly polished, and, indeed, usable, there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot differentiating itself from the latest OS5 builds. While that may change before release, the improvements seem largely aesthetic. It’s nice to see the home screen more customizable, and some graphics added to the Settings menu, but overall this is the BlackBerry OS we know and love. New users may find it more intuitive, but veterans will know exactly what to do.
What do you think? Is this the game changer RIM is hoping for? From the looks of it, probably not, but there is a lot more BlackBerry 6 to delve in to.
Enjoy.

Apr 26th
Storm 9530 owners seem to be the runt of the litter these days: the device that so many have but no one wants. I am currently using a Storm2 9550, and it is far and away a more usable, attractive device.
It’s a good thing, however, that there is still OS development happening for the original storm. Almost up to the 600′s, this OS, I’m sure, merely brings more bug fixes, and more bugs in general, to the table. Download with caution.

Is This Possibly The New iPhone Or Maybe A Prototype?
Apr 17th
This folks, could quite possibly be the next generation iPhone. Engadget got the the above pic and more sent into them along with a back story claiming the device was found in a San Jose bar in an iPhone 3G case (Hello unemployment line if an Apple employee lost it). Currently the details being offered up are plain and simple, albeit likely inaccurate. Front facing camera, 80GB of storage and currently cannot boot. The not being able to boot issue is what concerns me the most. I say this because it may be a sign that Apple knows the device is AWOL and if it’s a proto maybe they have some sort of “killswitch” on the device and the not being able to boot, is the result of that.
At this point, no one really knows so we’ll just sit back and wait and see if Apple legal jumps on Engadget to remove the pics. But then again, maybe they’ll say nothing. Of course, this all revolves around whether or not this thing is even legit. In any case, we’re not really that impressed with the design even of is a prototype. Hopefully, this..will never see a launch and judging from the responses on Twitter and the interwebs we’re not the only ones hating on this thing. Whatever it is.
Blackberry OS 5.0.0.610 for the Curve 8520 Leaked Online
Apr 15th
What have we learned about Blackberry OS leaks? When a new build leaks for one device it’s almost certain that in no time that same build will leak for more. Just this morning we had .610 drop for the Bold 9000 and Curve 8900, so it seems only natural that Crackberry shows some love to 8520 users as well. Still no word on updates, if any are found in this build. I am still crossing my fingers that the 9700 version is just around the corner. Follow the link for the update and be certain to comment on the findings.

Apr 15th
Here we are in the .6xx OS build’s and have been hearing nothing but good things in regards to its functionality and stability. So go ahead, load it up and leave a comment letting us know any new findings in this. Maybe Twitter for Blackberry integration? Let us know!

HTC EVO 4G Gets Caught In Inventory Pic
Apr 13th
If you are interested in the HTC EVO 4G you better listen up. The folks over at Engadget had an anonymous tipster send them in the above snap shot of the EVO just hanging around with some of its accessories. Granted, it’s showing up quite early at this point and reflecting a price of $5,555 but the fact its there makes us wish we had a damn time machine so we could jump forward and and bring this thing back to the now. Now before you all jump on the price comment, no it won’t be $5,555 when it hits that market, that’s just a placeholder price. Sprint users, don’t get too excited this piece of work is still a few months out yet.

Blackberry OS Leak: 5.0.0.612 for Storm2 9520
Apr 11th
Another Sunday afternoon, another Sunday Blackberry OS leak. Word on the street is that .612 is dropping for the Storm 9520, the GSM equivalent of the Storm2. No word on whether this leak is a big improvement over the last leak, 5.0.0.580, but since we’re getting into the 600′s on OS5 now, it seems most of the improvements are going to be in stability and less in features.
Download here and let us know how it is.

Blackberry OS Leak: 5.0.0.593 for Bold 9700
Apr 2nd
Another day, another leak: it seems that every Blackberry device has received a 5.0 leak this week, but the hostess with the mostess seems to be the 9700. No word on what is different from the previous .586 release (which was made official yesterday by COSMOTE) but I can’t imagine anything mind-blowing.
A little rant here: RIM is not the only company updating their OS, but they seem to be the only one willing to let their enthusiast community touch the latest and greatest often. Sure, there are weeks without leaks, but I have no doubt that RIM encourages these leaks, since it brings more users into the fold by having something to look forward to and salivate over. Since the beginning of OS5 leaks, nothing has significantly changed in the UI or functionality. There are very few features introduced between leaked (or official) versions of OS5, but nevertheless people clamber over one another to be the first to install it. Why? Because we want the newest stuff. Always, doesn’t matter what it brings.
There is something exciting about that, too. Whatever happens with RIM and the currently three-way smartphone battle between it, Apple, and Google, by giving us leaks, betas and frustrating the hell out of us by taking so long to implement significant features into their OS’s, RIM will always have the weight of a small but powerful enthusiast community behind it. Sure, the same can be said for Apple and Google, but RIM nerds know they’re the underdog, and we hold onto that identity fervently.
As usual, download with caution.

It seems like this has been a week of leaks, a different day a different device, so what makes today any different? Considering it dropped yesterday for the Bold 9000 and Curve 8900, it’s little surprise that the team at BBLeaks drops the 8520 version today.
