Everyone’s Invited to the Party: Telus Is Go For iPad

Not that it’s surprising, considering we’ve shown you the Telus Micro SIM already, but the West Coast-based company may have been smoking a bit too much of the ganja to release this crap. Or is it? You decide:

$20 for 500MB data (compared at $15 for 250MB on Rogers/Bell/Fido), with an additional 5c/MB up to a maximum of $30 overage (for a $50/month theoretical maximum). Now this is all well and good, but what’s to say that Telus, once people discover this convenient “loophole” and take full advantage of it, won’t change their policy and stick a soft cap onto this overage.

A word of advice, however: Bell’s current way of data activation is not through the device itself, but must be enabled and renewed via calling into their customer relations department. I did it this morning with no problems, but it’s still a hassle. This will apparently change on June 30th, and device activation will be enabled. As a result, Bell is giving their iPad customers three months of free mobile Bell TV as an incentive.
