Gizmodo, eat your heart out. Looks like a man in Vietnam has an iPhone prototype of his own reportedly paying $4,000 for it. Sources are saying that it’s slightly different from the Gizmodo model since it, well, works. Cosmetically, the screws on the bottom end of the device have been hidden and the actual storage capacity is listed (instead of XXGB); suggesting a newer prototype version. Furthermore, everyone seems to be all atwitter over Apple’s A4 processor supposedly being in the device. The software on the device is inoperable and just runs something called “Bonfire.” So we cannot see the front facing camera in action, or the flash.

Photos, video and more after the break.

Here’s the translated text from the forum where the news broke:

IPhone second generation appeared in Vietnam 4

After appearing on Gizmodo, 4th-generation iPhone also appeared in Vietnam. The images from diendanapple.vn for similar machines MicroSIM iPad, a front camera for video phone, the back with flash photography at night and especially on the back is made of scratch-resistant sapphire. 16GB capacity is just not double up as a traditional 32GB Apple increased each year. Nonetheless, this 16GB figure shown here is almost complete rather than the more XXGB before. Subtle attempts to synthesize and search “hit area” in the phone as soon as possible. Sources said some machines are being offered for sale for about $ 4,000 in the U.S. black market.

It’s a little bit rough, but the point gets across. We can all be pretty sure that this is not some hoax, this is undeniably the next iPhone. I’d be lying if I said the design didn’t get me excited. It so very much does. That being said, seeing this stuff break early is a bit heart breaking. Like finding your birthday presents three months early in your parent’s closet. The whole ordeal is too soon and ruins the surprise.
