Mobilicity To Announce Launch Details Friday!
Whenever a new carrier emerges in the marketplace, it’s hard to know what kind of impact they will have. Mobilicity, with their $65 unlimited everything plan (including data) sounds like something straight ‘outta Verizon. But, this is truly impressive. The company is going out of its way to say all the right things, and mobilize quickly, so that when they do open, people know about them, and have a reason to switch over.
WIND Mobile had a rough start, and certainly had to grow quickly to adapt to the market. There were coverage problems in Toronto (and elsewhere), lack of diversity in their plans, no SIM cards, few handset choices, customer service issues. Mobilicity has likely taken a lot from them, and would like, I’m sure, a less painful growth experience.
We will be at the event Friday in Scarborough, and will bring you any news we can get. Hit the break for the full press:

I bought a phone and got a plan under false pretenses that I was to be provided service in a covered area. I am right in the middle of their supposed coverage area and I have to re connect to the network every 2 - 3 minutes. I brought my phone back for a replacement and the lady was outside trying to connect to the mobilicity network. This company is NOT ready to provide the service, they should NOT be selling phones to anyone!
