EU and HK Milestones get 2.1, But Where Is CND and USA?
about -1 years ago - No comments
Huh? Ok, so mostly everyone knows that the Motorola Droid update to 2.1 has been delayed, again, again. But good news for owners of the GSM equivalent east of the Atlantic, as the Milestone is now shipping with 2.1 in Germany and Spain, and many Italian owners, and those from Hong Kong, have reported successful More >
The search for the perfect phone
about 15 hours ago - No comments
So over the past few years I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect phone. I’ve narrowed it down to touchscreens, but that’s about it. Currently, I carry a BlackBerry 9550 and Nexus One and I love both but for totally different reasons. I love my 9550 for push emails and its ability to customize More >

about 17 hours ago - 3 comments
We all knew it was coming, but the Release of Sony Ericsson’s first Android phone, the Xperia X10, seems imminent on Rogers Wireless. They have just put up a landing page, detailing the specs and features, without giving a peep about the price.
The Android 1.6 phone comes with a 4-inch screen, an astounding 8.1 megapixel More >
Dropbox Coming To Android, Not Soon Enough!
about 21 hours ago - 1 comment
Dropbox is a lifesaver. It is a multi-platform, cloud-based synchronization program that installs a directory called My Dropbox somewhere on your computer, and any file placed in that directory is automatically and seamlessly synced over the cloud to their servers, ready to download to another computer or mobile device at a moment’s notice.
Previously Dropbox has More >

We all know there is a very active development community for the Motorola Droid (the one Moto Android phone that can be rooted and developed for), but this is something special:
HTC’s highly-touted (and admittedly beautiful) Sense UI interface has been ported over to the Motorola Droid from HTC’s Desire stock 2.1 ROM. This is significant More >
Droid Update Delayed, Again.
about 4 days ago - 1 comment
Motorola Droid users just aren’t having any luck. First, their update to 2.01 from 2.0 was delayed, and, again, their 2.1 update from 2.01 has been postponed, without a word of explanation from Motorola.
Though the update has gone through to an undisclosed number of testers, the larger deployment has been pushed back due to a More >

On Sprint Soon
Google’s heralded Nexus One “superphone” will released on Sprint’s CDMA network in the US, forcing the question, “Where is our Verizon Nexus One?”
There is no mention of this on Google’s Nexus One portal, but a Sprint press release has said that availability will be “soon.”
“While a pricing plan has not yet been determined More >

One of my most-used programs on Android is Gesture Search, and it is now available to a vastly higher proportion of Android users now that it is compatible with OS1.6.
Released a couple weeks ago, Gesture Search allows you to draw a letter into its input box, and the resulting information will appear right below, in More >
Nexus One drops on AT&T and Rogers
about 6 days ago - No comments
Big news out of AT&T and Rogers today with the release Nexus One. Even though we “knew” it was coming, it still came from no where. Unlike the T-Mobile version, the AT&T version isn’t subsidized so it’ll cost you $529 to pick one up. (I did a few weeks back for my More >

T-Mobile has finally caved and given a release date for the Motorola Cliq XT and all its MOTOBLUR(ry) goodness. Android Central is reporting that come March 17th customers should be able to pick it up for $99 on a 2-year term or $199 on a 1-year term. Not too bad of a price point for More >
