Who uses what and where? Come see for yourself
Gizmodo just posted a great article on what amount of market share various mobile browsers hold around the world.
Points I found interesting:
• Apple is EVERYWHERE
• BlackBerry doesn’t make the list in Canada (come on Canucks!)
• People use a PSP for web browsing?
See the details here.

iPad Available for Preorder
about 3 days ago - 1 comment
Today’s the big day folks! iPad preorders – for both the WiFi and 3G versions – can be made on the Apple website or in the brick-and-mortar (or should that be glass-and-hardwood) stores themselves.
Anyone planning on getting one? What size? WiFi or 3G?

RIM FTW! (And The Robot Revolution)
about 3 days ago - No comments
According to comScore MobiLens research, which covered mobile handset usage between October 2009 and January 2010, RIM owns the smartphone market, with 43% market share, up 1.7% from three months earlier. RIM was the only company to gain significantly in total handset numbers, too, up 1.4% to 7.8% share, and that is overall phone numbers, More >
Video Walkthrough: Opera Mini 5 for Android
about 4 days ago - No comments
Opera Mini 5 Beta for Android arrived this morning for the world to try. While it does not support native multi-touch, there are a few benefits to the browsing experience that will make it, if not my default browser (xScope performs that function admirably) then my heavy-image, desktop browser replacement.
The reason for this is More >

BlackBerry App World has been updated to 1.1.0.33. No change log as of yet so it’s anyone’s guess what was fixed – maybe it will quit deleting itself from people’s phones now.
Either way, it gives me the chance to download BB App World FROM BB App World! (sorry in advance if I tear a More >

Use a Sausage Stylus to Stimulate your iPhone
about 1 week ago - No comments
I don’t know if any of you saw the story a while back about some of the people of Korea using sausages to control their iPhones in the cold weather (apparently they’re remarkably similar to fingers), but I’ve got great news! Now you, too, can have you very own sausage-stylus! (I’ll take “Sentences I never More >
Tether updated to 1.1.0.2
about 1 week ago - No comments
Although I fully understand its purpose and its usefulness, I have to chuckle at the concept of Tether. We’ve spent decades trying to make computers small enough to fit onto a piece of rice, without losing functionality, but we still return to the larger devices.
On that note, Tether has been updated to More >
Let the mayhem begin, Apple’s suing HTC
about 1 week ago - 2 comments
Just when we thought the dust had cleared from Apple’s lawsuit against Nokia, Engadget is reporting that Apple is at it again, this time duking it out with HTC over 20 patents “related to the iPhone’s user interface, underlying architecture, and hardware”
Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs had this to say:

Did you guys see Unbreakable? You know, that M. Night Shyamalan (yea, that’s actually how it’s spelled – I had to look it up) movie from a decade ago with Bruce Willis playing a super hero – though he doesn’t know it at first. At the end of the movie, the villain (played More >

Sorry, I don’t buy it. TONS of people use the Blackberry in Canada. This information has to be flawed, and there is no way that less than 3% of people in Canada use their Blackberry’s to browse the web. I don’t know the last time I saw a PSP being used. I probably saw 50 Blackberry’s waiting in the Starbucks line this morning.
Something’s fishy.
