BlackBerry’s Z10 smartphone is getting a discounted in the US by Verizon, AT&T and Best Buy, apparently due to weaker than expected sales. The Wall Street Journal reports that the BlackBerry 10 flagship is getting a price cut from $199 to $49 from AT&T and Best Buy. Verizon has followed suit and is reportedly selling the Z10 at $99 down from $199 for two-year activations. T-Mobile is the only other US carrier that stocks the Z10 and they have yet to report their intent. We’ll have to wait and see if these price cuts will entice more users in the US to give BB10 and the Z10 a chance.
