BlackBerry releasing a new BB 7 handset called 9270
BlackBerry is apparently launching another smartphone running on the legacy BlackBerry 7 OS. The BlackBerry 9270 has been spied and will be a mid-range handset designed to compete with cheaper Androids and Nokia’s Asha line of feature phones in certain markets. Images of the device can be seen at The BlackBerry Club. Will the 9270 cannibalize interest in the lower end BB10 devices like the Q5 or is it destined for a different country or market segment altogether? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
