In the last few weeks there has been a lot of mixed-appeal uproar about Apple going “flat” with their new UI for iOS7. Many have expressed dedicated fan-boy love, while others’ screamed hatred from the rooftops and simply downgraded back to iOS 6 - or switched to a new platform. Regardless of the consensus, Apple has gone ahead and made the new FaceTime icon official. Although this move shouldn’t surprise anyone - you know, legally speaking - it proves that Apple is owning the new flat look and taking the necessary steps to protect its investment.
