This morning I had the privilege of being invited back on-air to run through a father’s day gift guide on Global TV’s “The Morning Show”. Aside from talking about several must-have’s like: Nike’s GPS sportwatch, JayBird BlueBud X, iDevice’s iGrill, and the Powerbank Portable Charger, we also discussed a new app which adds a new level to gift personalization called Vouchr.

Launching this morning in 18 countries worldwide, the Vouchr app lets its users create personalized gift certificates for experiences they know their Facebook friends will love. This can be anything from a day at the spa, a round of golf, the best burger in town, or just a finger of scotch at their favorite watering hole. Because the gift certificates are 100% user-generated, there are no limits to the things you can create vouchers for.

I thought this was the perfect app for Fathers’ days, because fathers are among the hardest to shop for. Simply put: how do you buy for someone who already has (or can get) anything they want? With Vouchr, instead of buying him something that he doesn’t necessarily need (or feel inclined to use), I can create a personalized experience that I know he’ll absolutely love. I can give my father a round of golf at Glen Abbey instead of buying him a box of generic golf balls.

The best part about Vouchr is that you don’t pay until the voucher is actually claimed, this way you know it was actually used (and appreciated).
