One of my more pleasant experiences this week was dropping by the Otterbox booth at the BlackBerry Live solutions showcase and going hands-on with their yet-to-be-released Commuter and Defender cases (Defender hands-on shots coming shortly) for the BlackBerry Q10.

Needless to say, following tradition with the many Otterbox cases we’ve reviewed in the past, Otterbox did a pristine job ensuring that protection was provided without compromising too much of the popular form factor consumers come to expect from the BlackBerry Q10. Every nook and cranny is covered without making the device feel too heavy or boxy (or like a weapon; something the Defender case does with ease) and once installed properly, the device feels safe and secure even from the most accidental of falls.

Although no official release date was provided by Otterbox representatives, one would be safe to assume the Q10 Commuter case will be available not long after BlackBerry Live shuts down for another year.
