Vū Digital is aiming to make social content discovery smarter and more beautiful with the launch of their new Vū Mobile app for iOS and Android today. In their own words, Vū describes the new app as “a smart content tool that delivers rich personalized content to users through a beautiful gesture-driven interface.” On the surface, Vū is just another social reader app - albeit a very beautiful one - but in practice it is much more than that. Rather than manually searching for content or subscribing to RSS feeds, Vū surfaces content based on how you interact with it. At the start it will display a general list of news stories and content, and as you read and tell Vū what you do and do not enjoy, the app will start displaying content tailored to your interests. You can also like and dislike specific topics, and browse content by category. The app also connects to your Facebook and Twitter accounts to surface content and share stories you like.

Vū features a beautiful user interface with gesture-based navigation. The main screen features three tiles: My Topics, Trending on Vū, and Recommended Reading. Users will swipe up and down, left and right to navigate between stories in the simple, minimal UI.
