It wasn’t long ago that Air Canada made mention that they had no plans for an Android app, sticking solely to BlackBerry and iOS. I guess, however, things have changed. Subtly, on April 1st (more commonly known as April fools day), Air Canada released a beta version of their Android app into the Play Store. As stated by the airline directly, the “Air Canada App for Android” is compatible with devices running Android OS 4.0 or higher and “is feature complete but needs to be tested by a large number of people in order to find technical issues and correct them before we release Version 1.0.”
