Virgin Mobile to launch Google’s Nexus 4 in the coming weeks

When Google first launched the Nexus 4 back in October 2012, the device was available exclusively online through the Google Play store. This was in stark contrast to its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, which was offered by nearly every Canadian carrier at launch, or shortly thereafter. Though the Nexus 4 has been available on-contract from T-Mobile in the U.S. for some time now, the device is finally starting to make its way to Canadian carriers as well.
Virgin Mobile confirmed today that they will soon offer Google’s Nexus 4 in Canada, joining Fido which announced their intent to carry the latest Nexus last month. No word on pricing or launch date from Virgin, but Fido has previously said they will launch the Nexus 4 in “early February” so we expect it to land very soon! Interested customers can register for Nexus 4 updates from Virgin Mobile on their website.
