The popular TomTom Navigator GPS app for iPhone, iPad, and iPad mini was updated today with one major new feature: iCloud backup and sync. The updated app will now store user settings, including favourites and recent destinations, in the cloud. The app will automatically back up to iCloud once a day over WiFi or cellular data. This ensures that customers will never lose their data and settings, even as they install future updates or move between devices. In addition, today’s update also includes a map upgrade, as part of TomTom’s free lifetime map updates program.
