Among the plethora of devices set to be launched/showcased next month in Barcelona at Mobile World Congress, especially the Note 8.0, now include another device - this one from Korea-based tech giant Samsung. Dubbed the GALAXY Xcover 2, this is being marketed as a new ruggedized phone for “adventurers” due to the inclusion of pre-downloaded Google map data, an enhanced GPS + GLONASS which shortens the satellite signal detection by up to 20% and tracks your location more accurately, LED Flash next to the camera which can be used like a torch and a huge battery capacity of 570 hours(1,700mAh). Some other notable features are that it’s water resistant up to a one meter and can stay down there for up to 30 minutes. It sports a 4-inch WVGA display and is powered by Android 4.1. and a 5-MP camera for capturing the most extreme shots possible.

Stay tuned for more on this one at MWC.
