Google’s Nexus 4 running on TELUS’ LTE Network?

And boom goes the dynamite - Google’s new Nexus 4 handset from LG does indeed have LTE connectivity. Thanks to a simple settings tweak on the Nexus 4, you can enable LTE – something that many were shocked to find out was missing when Google/LG announced the device. This morning a video was posted on YouTube showing the Nexus 4 live on to TELUS’ LTE network, clocking download speeds of 25Mbps. Apparently, the tweak only works on 1700MHz and 2100MHz bands – meaning Rogers, Bell, TELUS and their associated sub-brands. Want to know how you can do the switch-over yourself? Type *#*#4636#*#* on the dial pad to access the phone’s settings, once in change the network type to LTE/GSM/CDMA auto (PRL), wait, and you’ll eventually see the settings change with LTE connected.
