The Pentagon to start implementing iOS and Android?

Despite losing a big chunk of their consumer dominance over this “transition” year, one sector RIM has always had a strong grip on is the American government; however, that is slowly changing as well. What started with losing the contract with US immigration, has now trickled over to the Pentagon, with the US department of defence looking to transition from the BlackBerry OS over to iOS and Android-powered devices. This does NOT mean the Pentagon will abandon BlackBerry entirely, saying that “a large number” of devices will still be circulated, it just means they’re exploring the pastures available.
Not the greatest news for the struggling tech giant. Hopefully they pull through this as everyone hopes.
