How To: Turn off IFA tracking in iOS 6

With the plethora of new features embedded in the heart of iOS6, there are still a few gems that Apple casually left out of the mix. One being “identifier for advertisers ” or IFA’s, a random anonymous number assigned to a user and their device.
(IFAs are temporary and can be blocked like cookies)
The number, once activated, is then used to pass specific ads to apps and web pages when you use your phone, and can be used by companies to identify when a user is looking at their ad and when they are “converted” or make a purchase. While IFAs don’t identify you personally, they do provide the developers data about your browsing and purchasing habits.
Of course, in iOS6, the IFA feature is defaulted on - here is how to change that.
Go to “General,” then “About,” and then scroll down to the “Advertising” section. From there, you need to to turn “Limit Ad Tracking” on - a bit backwards, yes, but it’s Apple.
Let us know if you figure it out.
