Among the many things I tweet out as I go about my day, one thing that I am passionate about - aside from phones - is my music. I can’t work, exercise, or really focus for that matter without having something on in the background. Issue is when I am not working from home; it is a tad obnoxious to have music blaring in a coffee shop, you know? I’ve tried many-a-headphones, all good in their own respective way, but many of which were wired. Not knocking wired headphones, just often it’s more convenient to have wireless (for getting up and walking around).

The other day I spoke about the Rockaway earbuds sent to me from Novero, though good for their respective demographic, not really for me as I am not much of an earbud guy. Today , however, we will discuss their sister product, the Rockdale Bluetooth stereo headphones, a product which I have been using and loving since I got ‘em.

Comfort and Portability

Simply put: I forgot about them. Among a sea of brands, the Novero live up to the reputation of being weightless (only 80g) and comfortable, I would wear them for hours on end, without feeling the need to take them off to cool off my ears. I think Novero engineered these headphones for bloggers, journalists, and frankly anyone else on the go. Aside from comfort, they are ultra-easy to fold up and put away into a bag or other carry-on using the included carrying bag.

Pairing

Featuring Bluetooth 2.1, they were a breeze to pair with my HTC One X, now iPhone 5 and of course my MacBook Pro. They also stayed connected without the notorious hiccups that can come with Bluetooth accessories.

Battery Life

For a change a brand is on-point with battery expectancies. The box states a 14 hour talk-time when used concurrently as headphones and a Bluetooth headset, as well as 280 hour stand-by when not used. Remember before in this review when I said I forgot about them? That also includes charging; they simply lasted forever. I think I found myself charging once or twice a week, a respectable amount for a heavily-used, power-sucking function like Bluetooth.

Sound

Included in these headphones, which makes up for the sound quality issues found in the Rockaway ear buds, is integrated DSP for echo cancellation and noise reduction; makes for clear calls and music.

Overall

Great quality, great sound, and for $129.99 you really can’t go wrong on price.
