Apple officially launches the iPhone 5

I barely the chance to press publish on my ‘first in line‘ post, and look what just popped up in my inbox. Ahead of retail store openings (generally 10AM, but today many retail outlets - including Rogers locations - are opening at 8:30AM to handle the influx of buyers), Apple has cut the ribbon and made the long-awaited iPhone 5 officially available for sale.
Pricing is as follows for unlocked versions via the online route only:
- $699 (CAD) for the 16GB model
- $799 (CAD) for the 32GB model
- $899 (CAD) for the 64GB model
As for carrier locked, termed pricing, expect to see the following:
$159 - 16GB
$259 - 32GB
$359 - 64GB
*Please note pricing is carrier-assigned, so the aforementioned numbers may be off by a few dollars*
Good luck to all waiting in line, don’t forget to tweet your ‘waiting in line’ shots to @cellguru or just email ‘em!
