Jimmy Kimmel is a sly mofo, for real. Amidst the hype of Apple’s announcement yesterday of the iPhone 5, he decided to send his crew to the streets, iPhone 4S in hand, to find out how people would react thinking they were holding Apple’s new wonder child. It’s actually really funny to see the reactions, as far as holding the 4S from Jimmy’s crew and their own and claiming one feels lighter and better than the other.

I love apple for their avant-garde, industry-shifting products, but their later iterations for those products always lag behind the competition due to the company's minimalistic design ethos. however, the main thing that apple has accomplished with its iphone 5, as with all previous releases, is further validate maslow's hierarchy of needs (i.e. humans' need to belong to a group and follow their fellow peers) and the neo-Luddite (technologically challenged) nature of humans (i.e. even the most genius of tech moguls and entrepreneurs like bill gates had their fair share of challenges with technology throughout their lives, which resulted in their innovative ideas for their tech startups). jimmy kimmel managed to bounce a great prank off this, so kudos to him! :-)
