Review: Sena “Ultra Slim” case for the Nokia Lumia 900

One of the best perks of writing for mobile is getting the benefit of trying out luxurious accessories. Recently, I decided to move on from Android for a bit and try different OS pastures, giving Windows Phone a try using the Nokia Lumia 900 from Rogers. As luck would have it Sena Cases, notorious for their high-end genuine leather lambskin cases, have a gorgeous “Ultra Slim” case for the phone and sent me one over to use and review.
Read on to find out my thoughts.
First and foremost I want to make emphasis on how stylish the case actually is. Honestly, total knockout for Sena on that, It just needs some work in the overall design department. I found while using it that it was quite difficult to slide my phone in and out - though, in fairness to Sena, they do give ample warning of the “break-in” period. The case fit was so snug at first that it put pressure on the camera button located on the right side of the phone, causing the camera to start up sporadically; not the best thing to happen to a phone that already drains battery as much as the Lumia does.
Look and Feel: Other than the sizing issue, I had no other problems with the case. Truth be told, I am a bit of a show off, so having a quality leather case pretty much guaranteed the phone never saw the inside of my pocket; I always had it in hand. I say Sena should just work on the core design and I believe they will have a winner of their hand with this one.
You can pick up the Lumia 900 Ultra Slim pouch for $29.95 via Sena’s online store here
