ARCHOS G9 Tablets Get Sweeter with Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0)

For those of you with an ARCHOS G9 tablet, save room for dessert. Today the company has announced that the G9 tablet line will be receiving Ice Cream Sandwich, version 4.0.3. The update will be pushed out OTA (Over-The-Air) to G9 tablets worldwide and users are told to look for an “A” in the lower right hand corner of your device.
The update brings with it faster web browsing, easy multitasking, rich notifications, customizable home screens, resizable widgets, and enhanced social media integration. The update also brings better text input, spell checking and voice input.
ARCHOS has some unique add-ons for Ice Cream Sandwich as well including full 1080p support for most video codecs, movies and TV shows description and subtitles automatic download, wireless content sharing between your device and any computer or DNLA compatible TV’ and 3D video support for MKV3D files. Additional features include an optimized File Manager with full drag and drop support, Ethernet USB dongle support and the ARCHOS remote control application that allows your tablet to be controlled by any Android device.
