Has RIM ended its sponsorship deal with TIFF?

Has RIM pulled the plugged on its long standing relationship with the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF)? It would seem that way judging by the images above taken at the TIFF Bell Lightbox which sits prominently at the corner of King and John in downtown Toronto.
Although the decision is probably solely based on a change in marketing, it does come as a shock given that BlackBerry has - for many years - been a major sponsor of TIFF and the BlackBerry Lounge has been called the BlackBerry Lounge since the Lightbox opened back in September of 2010.
It remains to be seen who will fill this large void come this years film festival in September. We have reached out to RIM for a comment, so stay tuned for an official statement when we get it.
