BlackBerry Bold 9790 released to the masses and I couldn’t be happier

*For integrity sake, the 9790 was released across the board, respectively. I used the Rogers screenshot solely out of convenience*
In my opinion, this device is a big deal and something to be excited about. For many - including myself - the BlackBerry Bold 9900 is just too big; especially when already carrying an iPhone as a primary driver. The size - and lack of auto-focus, were huge drawbacks for me, thus forcing me to switch out and grab the cheaper, lighter and less-powerful Curve 9360. Before saying anymore I must admit, this was a huge mistake. The Curve 9360 was made for teens who solely BBM, that’s it. Being a power-user (even as my secondary device) I literally over-used and fried the device. So let this story be a solid example to anyone considering buying it for heavy usage - don’t. So what are my options? The 9900 is too big for me and the Curve is the perfect size, but the specs. are just not enough? If you guessed the 97090, bingo, you got it. It combines the size, keyboard, and form factor of my all-time favorite BlackBerry, the 9700 series, with the touchscreen, power and specs. of the recently released RIM-flagship 9900. That’s all win.
Here is the info you really care about:
The Bold 9790 has a 2.45″ touchscreen, 1GHz processor, 768MB of RAM BlackBerry OS 7, 5MP camera WITH auto-focus, and 8GB of internal storage (microSD support up to 32GB).
I really don’t know what you’re waiting for. If you totally relate to this post, you should be out grabbing the BlackBerry Bold 9790 for roughly $99 on a 3-year term on one of the respective carriers hustling in Toronto.
