Motorola ADMIRAL available for under $100 from Sprint

Motorola and Sprint have just officially announced the first Android-Powered smartphone with Sprint Direct Connect (push-to-talk). The ADMIRAL features Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), a 1.2GHz processor, 3.1 VGA touchscreen with Gorilla Glass along with a QWERTY keyboard, 5MP camera with LED flash (720p), 4GB of internal storage and can support up to 32GB microSD, Wi-Fi, 3G Mobile Hotspot ( up to 5 devices) and runs on Sprints 3G network.
For all those that need a smartphone which can survive the apocalypse, I have some good news. The ADMIRAL is designed to meet Military Standard 810G for dust, shock, vibration, solar radiation, low pressure, and high and low temperatures, basically this smartphone will outlive you.
The ADMIRAL also has security in mind, the device offers enhanced on-device security that can be managed through Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync Server which includes password support, remote wipe, data encryption, as well as more than 30 other security policies. Not only can you set PIN and numeric passwords but, you can also set alphanumeric passwords.
The ADMIRAL will be available through a new 2-year agreement or those eligible for an upgrade for $100 (fine print states after $50 mail-in rebate via reward card). You will also have to have a unlimited data plan or Sprint Business customers may be eligible to activate the ADMIRAL on a Sprint Business Advantage Messaging and Data plan, starting at $59.99 per month plus required $10 per month Premium Data add-on for smartphones.
