Today Asus CEO Jonney Shih revealed the new tablet now named Transformer Prime. This 10″ tablet is the first to utilize NVIDIA’s new quad-core Tegra 3 processor. That is right QUAD-CORE in a tablet and its only 8.3mm thick, has an SD card slot, mini-HDMI port, 14.5hrs of battery life and has a full QWERTY keyboard it can dock in.
There isn’t much else in details to announce as for price or launch date but Shih said the official announcement of the tablet will be November 9th. He didn’t say if it will launch with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) but when asked if tablets will have ICS by the of the year he said “Maybe earlier than that,”
