Some big news coming out of the UK today. Moments ago the Samsung’s Galaxy S II was named Phone of the Year over the T3′s Gadget Awards, but that isn’t even the best of it. A sales director with Samsung UK, Andrew Glass stated the following:

“You will have an announcement of the Nexus Prime very shortly and will be seeing it in shops sooner than you think.”

This is the first time anyone from Samsung or Google has gone on record to acknowledged its existence, let alone name the device itself and launch time; although the name itself may not be etched in stone. Despite not really having much to go on, we now have confirmation it is coming and that alone finally puts all the rumors to rest.
