Update: Well ladies and gentlemen, looks like I was right. Those specs leaked earlier just didn’t add up.
GSMArena has reported the specifications BGR were told are “completely and utterly wrong.”

GSMArenas tipster, from inside Google who is familiar with the Nexus project has some new specs for
us, so take these with a grain of salt as well.

As I mentioned when I read 1.2GHz, I was a little shocked. I expected the CPU to be clocked at 1.5GHz
and GSMArenas tipster says it will be just that, a 1.5GHz dual-core Exynos. Some big news is it will
supposedly have a dual-core GPU (PowerVR SGX543MP2) same one found in the iPad 2. Around back the camera has been upgraded from 5MP to 8MP full 1080p HD (just what I was expecting). The battery will be a huge 2050mAh.

Now these specifications make me feel like ‘Something BIG is coming’ more than the previous specifications.

Now the question is, what specifications will tomorrow bring?

Samsung teased us with a video the other day telling us ‘Something BIG is coming’ and gave us a side shot of what looked like the Nexus Prime. This morning Phandroid confirmed what we all thought by posting an article showing a cleaned-up render of the device provided by Reddit member Greyhaven7. The article gives us an amazing look at the sleek, sexy, and curved device. As you can see in the above image there looks to be some side connectors for a dock, perhaps a tablet extension dock? Motorola has the tablet dock for the Atrix, so will we see the same for the Nexus Prime? Only time will tell.

Oh, by the way if that wasn’t enough good news for you, specs have been revealed for the upcoming Nexus as well and it looks something like this: Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich; 9mm thin; 4.65-inch 1280 x 720-pixel Super AMOLED HD with curved glass; TI OMAP 4460 dual-core Cortex A9 processor clocked at 1.2GHz; 1GB of RAM; 32GB of built-in storage; 5-megapixel camera on the back, 1.3-megapixel in the front; 1080p HD video capture support; LTE/HSPA depending on carrier; Wi-Fi a/b/g/n; NFC; 1,750 mAh battery.

Honestly, I hope these specs are incorrect; I would like at least a 8MP camera in the back and the processor at 1.5GHz. And I don’t know about you, but all this talk is making me hungry for an Ice Cream Sandwich and makes me want October 11th to come tomorrow.
