A double shot of good news for WIND customers, starting on Oct 6th. For existing and new Pay After customers, you will now have the ability to qualify for the WINDtab and WINDtab+ programs. The program is simple, instead of having to pay up front for the entire cost of a new device, subscribers can put the cost on their WINDtab, bringing the experience of getting a new device more in line with signing a contract with one of the larger carriers. For example, instead of dropping $248 on a BlackBerry Curve 3G, you can walk away with the device without paying an upfront cost and put it on your tab. A portion of your monthly bill will go toward paying off the balance owing on the device purchase, guaranteed to be fully cleared off after 3 years.

There are a few eligibility requirements to meet first in order to qualify, so make sure you fit them before talking to your local store rep.

- Must be an existing Pay After customer

-the customer must be in good financial standing with WIND, meaning that their line is currently not in suspension

- Must not have received WINDtab/WINDtab+ in the past OR have not received WINDtab/WINDtab+ in the past 6 months.

- Any customer that has had WINDtab/WINDtab+ for more than 6 months, must agree to pay off their current balance on their next invoice before they can receive another WINDtab/WINDtab+.

The second bit of news relates to the customer service end, and will no doubt be well received by many a subscriber. Changes are being made to the CAP program that will allow WIND customers to make account changes, upgrade hardware, and perform Buyer’s Remorse trade-ins at their local WIND location, instead of having to spend long waits on the phone with customer care. The sheer convenience of not being reliant on phone service for your account needs is a blessing.

One more thing to note, WIND will be making these changes effective October 6th, but they won’t be actively promoting them yet. The only way you’re going to get in on the deal is to ask, so make sure you do so.

Thanks Spinz!
