Chad from MBLWare reached out last night to let us know about the latest app to come from the creators of JeeoSuite and BlackBook, Inquery. I gave the app a spin this morning, and had a chat with Chad on BBM regarding the application, to get a better grasp of what exactly it is. Have you ever wondered what the general consensus is among your BBM contacts regarding Boxers or briefs? Best smartphone platform? Perhaps you happen to be a statistics student looking to run a quick poll to find out what your friends think for a research paper.

Inquery is a BBM-integrated application, allowing you to create and participate in polls with your connected friends. When someone sends you a poll, it will show up in your home screen, and will remain there until you have provided and sent your answers. Polls can also be created and sent off to your friends, either directly through BBM, or via scannable QR code. The UI of the app is clean and well laid-out, with a menu bar at the top of the screen providing all the tools needed.

The only thing that I found missing was a way to get to public polls within the app, which left me looking at my screen going “now what?” for a bit. An integrated list of the currently available poublic polls, or a browser launcher within the app that would take you to a page with the QR codes would round this app off nicely, and I suggested as much. Otherwise, if you have a good list of friends with the app, and a burning desire to get their vote on your chosen topic, it can be a lot of fun. I would also highly suggest this app for developers with a stable of beta testers, making it easy to get a group vote on features and feedback quickly and easily.

MBL Ware has put together four quick vids on Youtube demoing the app, if you want to see more, hit this link to watch.

The app is available as a free download from App World, and supports devices running BBM 6. Give it a spin for yourself today and leave your thoughts in the comments!
