4G LTE Motorola Xoom upgrades available tomorrow

The wait is finally over for current Motorola Xoom owners, as Motorola and Verizon have announced that starting tomorrow, they can head on over to http://phones.verizonwireless.com/xoom/upgrade/ and follow the steps to get the ball rolling on their new 4G LTE upgrade. Apparently the process will take about 6 business days once the device is sent in, so a little extra patience will be required, but given the amount of time current Xoom owners have had to wait so far, and extra week or so should seem like a walk in the park. The upgrade is completely free, and no change will need to be made to their current data plan to take advantage of the LTE speeds.
For those who don’t already own a Xoom, Verizon will be making the 4G LTE version available as of Oct 13, for $499.99 on a two-year contract. For more details on the upgrade, visit http://phones.verizonwireless.com/xoom/upgrade/
