BlackBerry 9790 and 9380 added to developer portal, before they’ve even been announced

The BlackBerry 9790 and 9380 aren’t exactly well-kept secrets, since we’ve known about them for quite a while, and even seen photos of them floating around the interwebz. However, RIM still has yet to actually announce them officially, only saying on their earnings call last week that there were “more devices to be released”. It seems that someone at RIM is being a little too efficient, having added the devices to the BlackBerry App World Developer Portal before the PR folks had a chance to officially tell anyone about their release.
This isn’t the first time that RIM has accidentally outed new devices, back in June this year an update for developers regarding screen resolutions outed the new Bold, Curve and Torch devices, and just like today, we heard absolutely nothing to acknowledge them come out of Waterloo. Nice to know that the devices are coming, but all this really amounts to is further confirmation of what we already knew, with no details yet about a release date.
