The Cellular Guru’s Incredible Giveaway: Winners announced!
Wow. In the last week we have seen some utterly fantastic ideas sent into us by the entrants of the contest, ranging from the strange to the hilarious. The creativity and innovation sent into us is worthy of a hat tip to anyone who took the time to put their idea down “on paper” and send it in, and a kudos to all is in order. However, since it would be rather difficult and self-destructive to chop the device into several little pieces to send to everyone, we had to narrow it down to one entry that stood above the rest. We have included the entry in it’s entirety below for your perusal, it was entirely too good to keep to ourselves.
Now, if you entered the contest, but weren’t lucky enough to win the grand prize, there is more good news for you. We’ve been hinting at runner-up prizes since we posted the contest, and have a couple of great going-away prizes for some worthy entrants. You may not have a new device to call your own, but you can protect the one you have in style with a new case.If your entry is one of the ones below, (we had to share these too) watch your inbox for an email from us, we’ll be in touch very soon to get your details and set you up to have a new case on its way to you.
First runner up: Michael Pickett
This phone is all about the implants.
One implant is placed behind the eye. 5 implants are placed in the fingertips of your dominant hand and sound implants placed in your ear canals.
PHONE
The most incredible feature to this phone is that it is any phone you want it to be. You can change from Apple to Android to Windows. This phone support all operating systems. You no longer buy the HARDWARE for each phone. You simply buy the operating system and load it into the iVision Interactive Experience.
FINGERS
The implants in the fingers allow you to move and manipulate the phones display.
To open the screen at anytime you must press all fingertips together then release them.
To answer a call without opening the screen you touch your thumb and baby finger tips together for 3 seconds then release. To hang up it is the same process.
EYE
The implant fools the eyes into seeing a translucent screen approx 1 ft in front of you. Screen size is 4″ but can be stretched to 6″.
HOLOGRAPHIC DISPLAY
The Display is translucent so you can literally walk down the street while using your cell phone with never having to look down at it again as it stays at eye level at all times.
For the times you want to watch a movie or do not need the translucent feature the display can be made to be a solid HD screen.
Your phone display is only visible to you unless someone else has the same implants (or purchase an optional eyeglass accessory which is sold separately) and you allow access through bluetooth so they can visually see your screen which is a great feature when wanting to share movies, pictures or even music.
Second Runner up: Jeff Roloson
Jeff wasn’t a very wordy entry, but the pictures tell it all. Above is one of the 3 he submitted detailing his concept device.
Special thanks to Cygnett for providing runner-up prizes for the entrants, they were kind enough to donate cases to the cause, and trust me when I tell you they make some damn fine cases for a range of mobile devices. For more details on Cygnett and what they offer, check out the site here. They do more than just cases, offering a range of products including chargers, portable speakers, etc for your mobile needs. They were kind enough to offer up HTC Incredible cases, winners will have their choice of one of the cases included in the “Frost” line.
Another thank you goes out to iFrogz, who have graciously added Bullfrogz iPhone 4 cases to the giveaway, an Otterbox-like case for the i4 that provides some serious protection with an extra dose of style. For more information on iFrogz products and the Bullfrogz case line, check out the iFrogz site here.
Last but not least, a huge thank you to everyone who entered the contest. If you’re one of the lucky winners, watch your inbox for the email, we’ll be in touch shortly with details, and runners up will have a choice of the cases available. Thanks for playing, and look for another great Cellular Guru giveaway soon!
