Shazaam is an OG in the world of quality iOS apps, having not only been around since almost the beginning, but also helping to usher in other music related recognition apps like SoundHound. The once solely free app then went viral, forcing both the need to go cross-platform and a need to separate into two versions: basic free and premium paid. The basic offering up a limited number of song identifiers, chalk full of ads and other annoying features; while the premium offered unlimited identifiers and no ads. Needless to say, the app has come a long way from the basic song identifier it once was. That was then.

Today, Shazaam Entertainment, Ltd. has officially released V4.7 with a tonne of updates to get you social media engines running at full speed. New features include:

- Shazaam TV interaction; ability to interact with select TV shows using the app.

- Variety of bug fixes.

So go to the App Store and update! No word on when this update will be available for Android/BlackBerry/WP7, will update this post when more is known.
