It’s almost laughable to those of us ensconced in the Greast White North that is Canada, that despite being the butt end of so many jokes about being backward, any Canadian can get a 9900 on almost every carrier before AT&T subscribers. Whatever the hold-up there, yet another Canadian carrier has announced that they will be carrying the device, as Dave Dobbin tweeted plans last night to release the 9900 to Mobilicity’s subscribers “soon”. With rumours pegging that release at early October, all we need now is a firm release date and a price point. Assuming that Mobilicity will continue to remain competitive, we should see the device with a sticker somewhere aroung the $599 mark, like others in the market. Mobilicity does have a history of undercutting the competition though, so perhaps we will see a lower price than the rest of the pack when ther details arrive.
