If you follow the mobile tech scene, you have no doubt seen countless rumours, mockups, and protoype/concept devices blogged about over the years. This time of year, of course, tends to be the latest rumours from Apple, and device concepts like the prototype mockup done by Aatma Studio featuring a laser keyboard make for some interesting discussion. Lately we have also seen pics floating around of the rumoured BlackBerry concept device, the “Knight” or whatever you want to call it. Whether the ideas are cool, weird, or just downright ugly, I can never resist taking a look, and it’s always interesting to see what those “outside the box” can dream up.

Now, everyone loves free stuff, and a free device always kicks ass. As a matter of fact, we happen to have an HTC Incredible S just sitting around head office, and we think you should have it. Yep, you. Now, you didn’t think we were just going to hand it over, did you? Of course not, so here’s the details, and my earlier ramblings will suddenly make sense in the next paragraph.

Give us your most “Incredible” smartphone concept. Take your pick of medium, and how you would like to submit it. Photoshop it, animate it, or scratch it out on a napkin and scan it to us. Points will be awarded for coolness, innovation, and detail, so make sure you put some real thought into it. the device could be your idea of the BlackBerry 10000, the iPhone 23, The Epic Galaxy Touch Droid 45G S 72, or whatever. Platform is not a hindrance, make up your own or use an existing one, it really doesn’t matter. When you have your concept ready, email it to us at info(at)thecellularguru(dot)com. Bonus points for the best device name submitted with a concept.

The best concept will win the device, and we’ll post the top 5 here on the bl0gs for everyone to see. Take a shot, get those creative juices flowing, and get in on your chance for an HTC Incredible S. The “Coles Notes” of the rules are below:

1. Dream up a concept device, no matter how outlandish, improbable (dare we say incredible) or weird it might be

2. Name your device

3. Give us something visual, Photoshopped pic, animation, or sketch

4. Give us a brief explanation of it. (Not an essay, but if it makes waffles, that should be pointed out)
