Bell announces 4G LTE network, throwing the switch Sept 14th

Parts of the Greater Toronto area will be waking up tomorrow with a new network in place, as Bell announced today that it will be throwing the switch on their 4G LTE network. Parts of Toronto, Waterloo, Kitchener, Guelph, and Hamilton will be able to take advantage of the new network, and Bell already has it’s newest mobile internet stick, compatible with the technology, up for sale. The plan is to focus on major centers first, rolling out to more rural areas later, with additional zones being added to the coverage throughout the remainder of this year and into 2012.
“Later this year”, Bell will bring a set of compatible devices to its roster so that smartphone users can take advantage of the network, but for now they have none up for offer.
