I caught a post this morning on GizmoFusion, apparently several solid sources inside RIM have confirmed that the scheduled line of QNX devices in development by Research In Motion will include a front-facing camera and Video Chat integration, as currently seen on the BlackBerry PlayBook. The Video Chat service is said to be heavily integrated with BBM, which seems to be a heavy emphasis for RIM lately as they create a social core revolving around the popular messaging service.

While the details are sketchy at best right now, these features are apparentlydefinitely on the drawing board, although they may or may not make it into the first QNX devices to launch. Also unknown at this time is whether RIM will lock the service down to BBM contacts only, but given their past history, I can only assume that they won’t be playing nice with other company’s *cough* Apple *cough* services.
