For those not familiar with the Jambox product from Jawbone, it’s a wireless speaker system capable of streaming audio from any Bluetooth enabled device in the room. By using optional stereo cables (sold separately) you can connect up to any device with an audio out jack to play your audio no matter where you are. Jawbone may be a name more familiar to some for their line of bluetooth headsets, which offer excellent performance and sound quality. That experience has been brought over fully to the JamBox, and today the makers have launched a new feature, called LiveAudio.

LiveAudio is a 3D sound software upgrade to your Jambox, allowing it to play your music, games, or video audio as if you are actually right in the middle of the action. The positioning recommended for the performance to work properly seems a little difficult for portability (3 to 4 feet away and level with your head) but if you were planning on using it as a PC speaker while gaming, or tend to listen to your tunes in one spot, it could easily be set up to provide the optimal experience consistently.
