According to TheiPhoneBlog.com the next generation iPhone is set to be released on Friday October 7th, with it being announced at Apple’s annual fall iPod event in early September. The next generation iPhone may be a spec bumped iPhone 4S, or it could in fact be the entirely new rumored iPhone 5; there have also been whispers of a new “budget” iPhone. Furthering these rumors - and making everyone’s mouth water with anticipation - is 9to5Mac reporting that the next generation phone will be available for pre-order as soon as September 30th. This of course raises a couple of burning questions: What type of device will actually debut this September? And If this timeline is true, will this be the new iPhone refresh cycle or will we see a return of the June iPhone announcement next year?
