BlackBerry 9900 dummy units arriving in T-Mobile stores
No real surprise here, but T-Mobile outlets have started receiving BlackBerry Bold 9900 dummy units in advance of their launch of the device. While it has already been made available to a select few business partners, they have announced that it will be available to regular consumers as of August 31st. Priced at a whopping $300 after a mail in rebate of $50, T-Mobile seems to be capitalizing on being first out of the gate, with AT&T lagging behind (apparently) until September, hoping to squeeze some extra cash out of those willing to pay extra to have it immediately. Hopefully we’ll see a price drop once AT&T gets their ducks in a row and launches it as well.
