As much as I love and appreciate RIM for who they are, what they make, and where they come from, I can’t help but chirp them for mistakes that just shouldn’t be happening; this time at the hands of whom ever was in charge of editing the promo video from BlackBerry7FanNight in Toronto a few weeks ago (an event I covered live). If you look closely at the image you’ll notice something off - a little home button under the users right thumb. Now you might be asking yourself “But BlackBerry’s don’t have physical home buttons, this just doesn’t make sense”, and you’re right, they don’t. What you’re actually looking at is an Android phone, an HTC made one to be exact (not sure exact model however), which snuck its way into the unsuspecting camera mans shot when highlighting the on screen keyboard on the forthcoming all-touch 9850/60 series BlackBerry Torch. Weird, huh? With all the hype around RIM’s new editions to the device family, mistakes like this - no matter how small - just shouldn’t be happening. Hopefully RIM does the right thing and pulls this video down, cuts the minor clips out and re-posts - because in all honesty, the video is still pretty good.

Have a watch for yourself and spot the “Where’s Waldo” scene for yourself:

In case you actually did miss it, hit 0:15 and 0:25 of the video. Thoughts?

that looks like the HTC Incredible S with its rotating buttons. Or the Droid Incredible 2 in the US

I thought at first maybe it was someone typing that they were getting it but it looks like they shot a video of the wrong phone

    Ha!
Went to check out the video and it’s now been made private. They must have caught wind.
